School Uniform

School Uniform:

• Navy blazer, woven badge on pocket (viscose polyester with Teflon fabric protector), fully lined, with inside zip pocket – must be worn at all times.

• Kilt, blue and green Balmoral Tartan (polyester/viscose) – must be to the knee.

• Blouse, white, long sleeved (Winter) open necked shirt (Summer).

• Pullover, navy with white trim..

• Tie, navy and white stripe.

• Navy tights – opaque or flesh coloured for summer and woollen navy or black for winter.

• White knee high socks or white summer ankle socks.

• Shoes must be black and of a sensible design.

Jewellery:

• A single small religious symbol on a chain is allowed.

• A plain pair of gold or silver round, stud earrings may be worn in the lobe of the ear.

• No other jewellery is permitted and excess jewellery will be confiscated.

Hair & Make up:

• Eye shadow, mascara and nail varnish are not permitted.

• Nail extensions are not allowed.

• Hair extensions and extreme attention seeking hairstyles and colouring are not allowed.

• Long hair must be tied back for practical subjects and in the dining room with navy, black or white hair band and plain silver black or white clips.

PE Kit Requirements and Regulations:

All kit can be purchased from Henry Taylor.  Please ensure that each item is clearly labelled with your daughter’s name. 

• A plain medium sized navy blue drawstring bag.

• Trainers must be white (some colour is allowed, as long as the majority of colour on the shoe is 

white).

• Depending upon which House your daughter is in, she will need to purchase a yellow / blue / green. 

polo shirt to be worn during games lessons.

• Plain House colour football socks must be worn.

• A navy blue St Martha’s school tracksuit.

• Plain navy blue football shorts.

• Optional — Summer term, pupils can provide their own tennis racket — one that is suited to the 

individual. (Own tennis balls for lunchtime practice).

• Optional — Winter term, pupils can provide their own hockey stick.

• Mouth guards and shin pads are compulsory. 

• Hair that falls beneath the chin must be tied back at all times during PE lessons.

• Blue or white Alice Band required.

• Only roll-on or stick deodorants are allowed. Aerosol deodorants or body sprays are not permitted

due to the effect on asthma sufferers in the changing room. 

• Asthma sufferers who require an inhaler must bring it to every PE lesson.

• Fingernails should be kept to a reasonable length. Girls with fingernails of an unsuitable length for

netball will be asked to cut them. No nail extensions or nail jewellery is allowed.

• Jewellery must not be worn during PE lessons.
